📋 Description

• • The Benefits and Authorization Specialist supports patients referred to Option Care Health to receive specialty medications by completing benefit verification and authorization activities for new referrals with speed and accuracy to enable timely access to care.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include processing benefit verification or authorization for all new referrals, assisting supervisors and managers with special assignments as needed, and working directly with payers to understand benefit design, interpret medical policies, obtain required authorizations, and communicate coverage details and outcomes to Patient Access staff.
