  • • As a Benefits Specialist II at Cision, you will play a pivotal role in the global administration and day-to-day operations of our comprehensive employee benefits programs. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of our benefits offerings, from initial enrollment and ongoing management to ensuring compliance and providing exceptional support to our employees. You will be an integral part of the Benefits team, working closely with the Benefits Manager and Director to implement and maintain programs that not only meet the diverse needs of our global workforce but also align seamlessly with Cision's overarching strategic objectives and commitment to employee well-being.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass the full lifecycle of employee benefits administration. This includes meticulously managing the enrollment, renewal, and ongoing administration of a wide array of benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other valuable employee perks. You will be the go-to person for ensuring that these programs are accurately managed and effectively communicated.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves the precise processing and reconciliation of benefits invoices, guaranteeing accuracy and timely payments to our providers. This requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of financial reconciliation processes within the benefits domain.
  • • You will be the primary point of contact for employees seeking information about their benefits. Your role will involve handling employee inquiries with clarity, empathy, and efficiency, providing accurate and concise information to help them navigate their options and understand their coverage.
  • • Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of benefits data within our HR systems is paramount. You will be responsible for updating and maintaining comprehensive benefits records, ensuring that all information is current, correct, and compliant with data privacy regulations.
  • • A significant part of your work will involve supporting the annual benefits open enrollment period. This includes assisting with the development and execution of communication strategies, updating benefits systems, and providing direct assistance to employees as they make their selections.
  • • You will provide expert guidance on Cision’s various benefits programs, proactively assisting employees in resolving questions and addressing any issues that may arise, ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • • The role also extends to managing employee leave processes. You will communicate effectively with employees regarding their leave needs, ensuring they fully understand their responsibilities, the necessary documentation required to qualify for and take leave, and the implications for their benefits.
  • • Maintaining appropriate and timely communication with employees while they are on leave is essential to support their smooth and timely return to work. This may involve acting as a liaison between employees and their managers, facilitating clear communication channels.
  • • You will maintain complete and accurate records of all leave and accommodation requests, adhering strictly to legal requirements and best practices to ensure compliance and protect employee information.
  • • Managing and reconciling leave payments in close collaboration with the Payroll department will be another critical duty, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • • Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to employee benefits programs is a non-negotiable aspect of this role. You will stay informed about legislative changes and their impact on our benefits offerings.
  • • You will assist in the preparation and filing of all required regulatory reports and documentation, ensuring Cision meets its legal obligations.
  • • Proactively staying abreast of the latest developments in benefits legislation and industry best practices will enable you to recommend necessary adjustments to our programs, ensuring Cision remains competitive and compliant.
  • • Analyzing benefits data to identify trends, pinpoint potential issues, and uncover opportunities for program enhancement and cost optimization will be a key contribution. You will collaborate with the Benefits Leader to develop meaningful metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of our benefits programs.
  • • Liaising effectively with our benefits vendors and brokers is crucial for resolving any issues that may arise and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our employees. You will also assist in the evaluation and selection process for new benefits providers, contributing to the strategic development of our benefits portfolio.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • • Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in employee benefits administration.
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • • Strong team player with a customer service mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven ability for strong follow-through.
  • • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and external vendors.
