  • • The Billing & Invoicing Analyst role at Hyperion Group LLC (operating as Howden) is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant billing operations within the US Regional Business Service Center, directly supporting financial integrity and client satisfaction across a global insurance organization of 24,000 employees.
  • • This position plays a vital role in maintaining SOX compliance, resolving billing discrepancies, and enabling smooth payment processing between clients, carriers, and internal accounting teams, thereby safeguarding financial controls and operational efficiency.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include requesting, reviewing, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of client and carrier invoices; coordinating billing allocations based on client and carrier instructions; processing fee agreements and managing internal fee allocations in alignment with contractual requirements; and calculating surplus lines tax obligations in accordance with state regulations.
  • • The Analyst will align with accounting to confirm carrier payment terms, ensure smooth payment processing, coordinate and maintain SOX compliance documentation for audit readiness, and identify and resolve accounting discrepancies related to billing and payments.
  • • Additional duties involve requesting and obtaining premium finance quotes for viable accounts and reviewing carrier audits for accuracy, partnering on corrective actions as needed to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • • The role requires strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and record-keeping systems; exceptional attention to detail for verifying documentation; financial acumen in billing practices, allocations, and premium financing; effective communication skills to collaborate with account teams, accounting, and carriers; regulatory knowledge of SOX compliance and audit requirements; technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing/insurance systems (e.g., Epic, AMS360); and proven problem-solving ability to investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • • 2+ years of billing, accounting, or insurance operations experience.
  • • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with billing/insurance systems such as Epic, AMS360, or similar platforms.
