📋 Description

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on biomedical equipment across various modalities within hospital and healthcare system environments in Fort Smith, AR.
  • Evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues under supervision and implement appropriate repairs as assigned.
  • Assist more experienced technicians with basic and complex repairs and resolution tasks.
  • Conduct safety and environmental inspections on medical equipment as directed.
  • Follow GE policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain daily communication with customers to ensure issue resolution, proper follow-up, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Support GE/customer facility contracts and align service delivery with business goals and objectives.
  • Work as part of a local team to deliver efficient service across all assigned accounts within the Fort Smith, AR area.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities after receiving proper training, including availability during weekends and after-hours.
  • Document all repair actions and submit timely reports and summaries according to established schedules.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and properly care for tools, test equipment, and spare parts.
  • Enhance and sustain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures for safe and effective medical equipment use through formal instruction.
  • Utilize manuals, technical support, Facetime, and online resources to resolve questions during preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Comply with Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety requirements, and all other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted; frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch, squat, kneel, or crawl.
  • Sit, stand, and reach above and below shoulder level for extended periods; maintain good hand and finger dexterity.
  • Possess required vision abilities including color vision, close and distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Work onsite at customer locations in Fort Smith, AR; remote work is not permitted despite the job posting’s misleading ‘Remote’ label.
