- • As a Biomedical Technician 1 at GE HealthCare Technologies Inc., you will respond to service calls within hospitals or healthcare systems in Greenville, SC, evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing biomedical equipment to ensure healthcare delivery continuity and drive customer satisfaction through service excellence.
- • Day to day, you will evaluate customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs, perform planned maintenance and safety/environmental inspections, maintain strong customer relationships through frequent communication, document all work performed per company and hospital protocols, and ensure proper care and calibration of tools and test equipment for timely and accurate service.
- • You will be part of GE HealthCare’s global Biomed/FE Services team, supporting critical healthcare infrastructure with a focus on quality, compliance, and ethical service delivery while working onsite at customer locations in the Greenville, SC area.
- • In this role, you will develop hands-on technical expertise in biomedical equipment repair and maintenance, gain experience with electronic digital circuitry and schematic interpretation, strengthen customer service and documentation skills, and build a foundation for career advancement in healthcare technology services within a Fortune 500 medtech leader.
🎯 Requirements
- • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment.
- • Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
- • Experience interpreting schematic diagrams.
- • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; GE HealthCare will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future.
- • Ability to be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends (preferred qualification).
- • Ability to lift and move up to 35lbs (preferred qualification).
