- • Respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair complex biomedical equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and patient safety.
- • Perform scheduled planned maintenance (PM), safety inspections, and environmental compliance checks on medical devices in accordance with GE HealthCare and hospital protocols.
- • Maintain accurate documentation of all repair actions, inspections, and service activities, submitting reports and summaries as required by company policy.
- • Ensure proper care, calibration, and inventory management of tools, test equipment, and spare parts to support efficient service delivery.
- • Establish and maintain proactive communication with customers to resolve issues promptly, ensure follow-up, and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
- • Lead, instruct, and mentor junior biomedical technicians on both basic and advanced repair techniques and troubleshooting procedures.
- • Serve as a point of contact for customer facility contracts, aligning service activities with business goals and contractual obligations.
- • Work as a collaborative member of a local service team to ensure timely and efficient support across all assigned accounts within a designated geographic area.
- • Share on-call and pager responsibilities, including availability during after-hours, weekends, and holidays for critical equipment failures.
- • Adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements, including Health and Human Services (HHS) and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
- • Maintain current technical knowledge through formal training on evolving medical equipment standards, codes, and safety procedures.
- • May assume the role of Site Leader, directing activities of fellow technicians, engaging in customer safety committees, and managing overall account performance.
- • Manage third-party vendor service delivery processes in compliance with GE HealthCare policies and contractual agreements.
- • Comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, and Quality Goals, completing all required training within deadlines.
- • Identify and immediately report any customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
- • Meet physical demands including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 35 lbs. unassisted, frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and prolonged standing or sitting.
- • Possess and maintain required vision abilities: color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
- • Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical customers and colleagues.
