- • Lead a functional service provider-based biostatistical programming team to deliver ad hoc studies and analyses on time and to specifications, ensuring accurate and complete biomedical data analysis and presentation.
- • Identify efficiency improvements, propose innovative solutions, and support organizational growth strategies by staying informed of evolving department needs and industry best practices.
- • Represent the programming function in multidisciplinary team meetings, contribute to continuous improvement of programming and R&D processes, and mentor junior programmers while managing vendor relationships and participating in audits.
- • Amgen’s Center for Observational Research (CfOR) advances real-world evidence to support therapeutic areas including Oncology, Inflammation, General Medicine, and Rare Disease, with a mission to serve patients through innovative medicines and a collaborative, science-based culture.
- • Develop expertise in regulatory-compliant statistical programming, real-world healthcare data analysis, and leadership in a global biotech leader committed to improving patient lives through scientific innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Life Sciences OR Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience
- • Demonstrated ability to write, test, and validate software programs and macros in SAS, Databricks, or R to produce analysis datasets and presentation output for regulatory submissions, publications, and communications
- • Experience with real-world healthcare data such as Flatiron, Ontada, MarketScan, Optum, Medicare, and EMR databases
- • Minimum five years of SAS statistical programming experience
- • Database programming using SQL and/or experience with advanced statistical methods such as survival and regression
- • Vendor relationship management or related experience with functional service providers
