  • • Distro, Inc. is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our dynamic, international team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Colombia, with a specific mention of Barranquilla, Atlántico as a key location, alongside other major cities like MedellĂ­n, Bogotá, Cali, Armenia, and Bucaramanga. We are seeking an individual who is not only highly organized and detail-oriented but also proactive and possesses excellent communication skills, making them an ideal candidate to support our diverse range of client accounts with their daily accounting processes.
  • • As a Bookkeeper at Distro, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our clients' businesses. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around managing and executing core bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks, a widely recognized and powerful accounting software. This will involve accurately recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring that all financial data is up-to-date and error-free. The ability to meticulously manage financial records is paramount to success in this role.
  • • Beyond direct bookkeeping, you will be instrumental in maintaining a streamlined and efficient document management system. This includes organizing and filing financial documents, invoices, receipts, and other pertinent paperwork within Microsoft Teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams is essential, as it will be our central hub for collaboration, document sharing, and communication. You will ensure that all documentation is easily accessible, well-organized, and compliant with company and client standards, contributing to a seamless workflow and audit readiness.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves working with accounting workflows that are integrated with field service platforms. While not strictly mandatory, experience with platforms such as ServiceTitan or similar field service management software will be a distinct advantage. This integration means you will be handling financial data that originates from service operations, requiring an understanding of how these systems interact and how to accurately process the associated financial information. Your ability to adapt to and work within these integrated systems will be key to providing comprehensive accounting support.
  • • We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently while also being a collaborative team player. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will be expected to proactively identify potential issues, suggest improvements to existing processes, and ensure the smooth operation of accounting workflows. This includes performing regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, and supporting the broader accounting structure with tasks such as coding expenses and preparing for monthly closings.
  • • This position operates on a standard Monday to Friday schedule, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a consistent work-life balance. The role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work location within Colombia. However, an initial hybrid model might be offered if preferred, providing a transition period. A critical requirement for this role is advanced English proficiency (C1 level), as you will be interacting with international clients and colleagues, requiring clear and effective communication in both written and spoken English.
