📋 Description

• • Own the financial heartbeat of our nationwide fulfilment network as the Branch Controller for Takealot Fulfilment Solutions (TFS). You will sit at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy, translating complex numbers into clear, actionable insights that keep millions of parcels moving efficiently every day.
• • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for multiple fulfilment centres, ensuring every rand is accounted for and every variance is explained. Your reconciliations will be the gold standard that auditors and executives trust.
• • Build and maintain dynamic financial models that forecast revenue, cost-to-serve, and working capital for each branch. When fuel prices spike or Black Friday demand surges, your scenarios will already be loaded and ready.
• • Partner daily with Operations Managers, Regional Directors, and Supply-Chain Engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities—whether that means re-slotting pick paths, renegotiating 3PL rates, or redesigning packaging specs.
• • Drive the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting cycles for Capex, Opex, and labour. You will translate strategic goals into line-item budgets and then track performance with KPI dashboards that the warehouse floor can actually understand.
• • Implement and refine internal controls over inventory, fixed assets, and cash. From cycle-count accuracy to shrinkage investigations, you will safeguard company assets while keeping processes lean and scalable.
• • Produce executive-level reporting packs that combine P&L, balance-sheet, and operational metrics. Your story-telling will turn "warehouse throughput" into narratives that influence board-level decisions.
• • Champion continuous improvement by automating repetitive tasks—think Power Query, Power BI, and Python scripts—that free your team to focus on insight rather than data entry.
• • Mentor junior analysts and clerks, creating a culture where curiosity, accuracy, and speed coexist. Your coaching will shape the next generation of finance leaders across TFS.
• • Stay ahead of IFRS, tax, and industry regulatory changes, ensuring every journal entry and disclosure is compliant and audit-ready.
• • Collaborate with Group Treasury on cash-flow forecasting and foreign-exchange exposure for cross-border shipments, protecting margins in volatile markets.
• • Represent TFS in cross-functional projects—new site launches, automation rollouts, sustainability initiatives—providing the financial lens that keeps ROI front and centre.
• • Influence supplier negotiations by arming procurement with accurate total-cost-of-ownership data, turning finance into a profit centre rather than a cost centre.
• • Be the guardian of data integrity across ERP, WMS, and BI platforms; when systems talk to each other flawlessly, your insights become bulletproof.
• • Celebrate wins loudly—whether it’s shaving 2% off packaging spend or cutting month-end close from 5 days to 3—because every efficiency gain directly improves customer experience and shareholder value.
