- • Spellbook Legal Inc. is seeking a visionary and results-driven Brand Marketing Lead to spearhead our brand's evolution as we transition from a promising startup to a dominant force in the legal AI category. This pivotal role is designed for a strategic thinker with a proven track record of building and scaling brands in high-growth environments. - • As the Brand Marketing Lead, you will operate at both strategic and tactical levels. You will be responsible for crafting a high-level brand strategy that defines our identity and market positioning, while simultaneously building the essential systems, assets, and potentially a team to bring this strategy to life. This dual focus ensures that our brand vision is not only conceptualized but also meticulously executed.
- • Key responsibilities include defining and continuously refining our brand strategy, architecture, and positioning. This involves a deep understanding of the legal AI landscape and identifying opportunities to differentiate Spellbook from competitors. You will be the architect of our category narrative, ensuring clarity and impact for enterprise legal buyers, and establishing Spellbook as a thought leader that shapes how the market understands legal AI, rather than merely participating in it.
- • A core objective will be to drive measurable growth in share of voice, brand visibility, and brand authority across all priority channels. This requires a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, leveraging voice-of-customer insights, and conducting thorough competitive analysis to uncover narrative whitespace.
- • You will collaborate closely with Product and Executive Leadership to translate complex product innovations into clear, differentiated, and market-shaping messaging. This involves distilling technical advancements into benefits that resonate with our target audience.
- • Owning the company's core messaging framework, brand voice, and tone will be crucial. You will ensure these elements are consistently applied and amplified across all touchpoints, including our website, marketing campaigns, sales enablement materials, public relations efforts, events, partnerships, and thought leadership initiatives.
- • A significant part of this role involves elevating executive and company storytelling. You will work to build a robust executive platform that enhances credibility, visibility, and industry influence across media appearances, industry forums, customer communications, and strategic announcements.
- • In partnership with our Creative Director, you will guide the design and scaling of visual identity systems that convey both enterprise-grade credibility and the forward-thinking nature of modern AI innovation.
- • You will oversee the strategic evolution of our website and all major brand touchpoints, ensuring they function as effective demand drivers.
- • This role demands the creation of bold, high-impact brand moments – such as product launches, industry reports, significant events, and integrated campaigns – designed to increase brand fame and recognition within the market.
- • Close collaboration with Growth and Product Marketing teams is essential to ensure that brand initiatives directly contribute to pipeline generation, conversion rates, and overall revenue impact.
- • You will develop and implement brand programs aimed at increasing awareness, fostering trust, and building preference among legal decision-makers.
- • The creation of integrated campaigns that extend beyond traditional performance marketing to build long-term brand equity is a key expectation.
- • Establishing comprehensive brand measurement frameworks is vital. This includes defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for brand visibility, narrative ownership, category leadership, awareness, perception, preference, share of voice, and sentiment.
- • You will build scalable systems and processes to track brand lift and monitor competitive narrative positioning in the dynamic AI landscape.
- • Managing external resources, including creative agencies, PR partners, and freelancers, will be necessary to amplify brand reach and authority.
- • As a foundational member of the brand function, you will be responsible for building it from the ground up, establishing scalable systems and processes, and potentially hiring and mentoring future brand and creative talent.
- • Finally, you will support the executive team with other strategic projects and responsibilities as required, contributing to the overall growth and success of Spellbook.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8-12 years of experience in brand marketing, with a strong preference for experience within B2B SaaS companies.
- • Proven experience in high-growth or venture-backed environments, ideally at Series B to D funding stages.
- • Demonstrated ability to define, evolve, and execute brand positioning strategies in competitive market categories.
- • Exceptional storytelling instincts and the ability to simplify complex technological concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- • Experience marketing to enterprise audiences; familiarity with legal-tech or other regulated industries is a significant advantage.
- • A strategic mindset coupled with a strong bias for execution and a data-informed approach to brand building.
- • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
