  • • Are you a seasoned Brand Marketing professional with a passion for driving growth and a knack for creating impactful campaigns? Butternut Box, the European market leader in fresh dog food, is seeking an experienced Brand Marketing Lead for a 12-month fixed-term contract to spearhead our brand's continued success in the UK & Ireland.
  • • At Butternut Box, we're not just selling dog food; we're revolutionizing the category by offering higher quality ingredients, superior cooking processes, and exceptional customer service. We believe dogs deserve better, and our brand reflects this core philosophy. As we enter our next phase of rapid expansion, we need a multi-skilled marketer to define and execute our UK brand strategy, ensuring we meet and exceed our ambitious growth objectives.
  • • This pivotal role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the Butternut Box brand in the UK & Ireland. You will be instrumental in developing and executing a comprehensive brand plan, meticulously analyzing performance against set goals, and ensuring all marketing activities contribute to a greater impact than the sum of their parts. Your ability to translate deep customer insights into clear, compelling creative briefs and assets will be crucial to our success.
  • • Reporting directly to the UK Managing Director, with a dotted line to the Global Head of Brand, you will be a key player in shaping the future of our brand. You'll have the autonomy to explore new channels, identify strategic partnership opportunities with complementary brands, organizations, and talent, and drive brand-led growth through innovative initiatives.
  • • Key responsibilities include:
  • • Executing high-impact brand marketing activities across paid, owned, and earned channels within the UK & Ireland markets.
  • • Owning and communicating the brand planning calendar for the UK, ensuring alignment and timely execution of all initiatives.
  • • Contributing to global campaign briefing processes and leading channel-specific briefing to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • • Proactively seeking out and evaluating new channels and activities that can deliver significant brand-led growth.
  • • Scoping and developing strategic partnership opportunities with other brands, organizations, and influential talent to amplify our reach and impact.
  • • Measuring and analyzing the performance of all brand marketing efforts will be a core part of your role. You will be responsible for:
  • • Designing and running carefully devised regional or channel-specific tests to gather actionable insights.
  • • Analyzing overall brand performance through regular brand health tracking, led centrally, to inform strategic adjustments.
  • • Providing clear, data-driven reports on campaign effectiveness and ROI to stakeholders.
  • • You will act as a vigilant brand guardian for the UK & Ireland markets, ensuring all executions are in perfect alignment with our established brand guidelines. This involves:
  • • Reviewing and providing constructive feedback on creative assets developed by our internal Creative Studio, ensuring brand consistency and quality.
  • • Producing clear and concise messaging guidelines for partners to inform their production of assets, maintaining brand integrity across all touchpoints.
  • • Effective management of the UK & Ireland brand budget is essential. You will be responsible for:
  • • Periodically tracking delivered investment against the committed budget, ensuring financial accountability.
  • • Serving as the lead contact for agencies and external partners, including negotiating terms and costs to optimize spend.
  • • Fostering strong, collaborative relationships both internally and externally will be key to your success. This includes:
  • • Building strong working relationships with cross-functional teams such as the Creative Studio, Global Brand Team, Data & Business Intelligence, and CRM departments.
  • • Collaborating closely with UK & Ireland growth teams, including Marketing, Direct Sales, and Retail, to ensure integrated campaign execution.
  • • Engaging effectively with global teams, including regional Brand Managers and Growth Managers, to share insights and best practices.
  • • This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building beloved brands. If you're ready to make a significant impact on a category-leading company and contribute to the health and happiness of dogs everywhere, we encourage you to apply.
