• • Day to day, you will conduct one-on-one virtual coaching sessions with mentees seeking to enter AI fields, offering personalized support tailored to their background and goals. You will review and refine resumes to highlight relevant AI projects, technical skills, and research experience in ways that resonate with top tech employers. You will simulate technical and behavioral interviews, providing constructive feedback on coding challenges, system design discussions, and storytelling around AI projects. You will guide mentees in identifying and pursuing strategic career paths within AI—such as machine learning engineering, data science, AI research, or AI product roles—based on their strengths and interests. You will share insights on industry trends, hiring timelines, and the nuances of interviewing at major AI companies, startups, and research labs. You will collaborate with Leland’s coaching team to maintain high standards of session quality, contribute to resource development, and participate in occasional team syncs to improve the coaching experience.
