- • The Brokerage Operations Associate I - Clearing & Settlement role at Alpaca Securities LLC is critical to ensuring accurate and timely settlement of securities transactions, supporting the firm’s mission to open financial services to everyone on the planet.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include processing DTCC settlements, investigating and resolving failing transactions, managing ACAT transfers, reconciling cash and securities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (including 15c3-3 and REG SHO), producing reports, and collaborating with internal teams to improve operational efficiency.
- • Alpaca is a US-headquartered self-clearing broker-dealer and brokerage infrastructure provider serving over 9 million accounts across 40 countries, backed by top-tier investors and built on a culture of curiosity, empathy, and accountability with a fully remote, globally distributed team.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in DTCC PTS systems, securities lending, collateral management, and regulatory compliance while gaining hands-on experience in automation initiatives and cross-functional process improvement within a fast-growing fintech environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of Operations and DTCC Settlement experience
- • Knowledge of Brokerage Clearing operations and U.S. securities back office functions
- • Ability to work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced remote environment
- • Possess or obtain Series SIE and 99 securities license within 180 days of employment
- • Basic knowledge of SQL, Metabase, or other database tools
