- • As the Brokerage Operations Lead at OnePay, you will serve as the operational backbone of the brokerage services for both Invest and Crypto products, ensuring accurate, compliant, and scalable execution of trades, money movement, and asset servicing across the full lifecycle. This role is critical to maintaining trust and reliability in OnePay’s financial platform, directly impacting millions of users who depend on seamless, secure access to investing and crypto services.
- • You will act as the designated principal (Series 24), serving as the first line of supervision and primary decision-maker for day-to-day brokerage operations, including incident response, trade breaks, escalations, and real-time issue resolution, while ensuring adherence to SEC/FINRA regulations, WSPs, and internal controls.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning and operating brokerage operations across OnePay Invest and Crypto, supervising trade lifecycle functions such as execution, settlement, reconciliation, money movement, transfers (ACATS), corporate actions, and asset servicing, while monitoring operational health through exception queues and support volumes to proactively mitigate risks.
- • You will partner closely with the India-based Brokerage Operations Lead to enable follow-the-sun coverage, ensuring 24/7 operational consistency and shared oversight across regions, while serving as the primary US-based escalation point for critical incidents and customer-impacting issues.
- • You will serve as the main liaison with clearing broker-dealers and crypto partners, driving seamless execution, issue resolution, and continuous improvement through collaboration on workflow automation, error management frameworks, and process optimization with Product and Engineering teams.
- • You will collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Operations, Product, Engineering, and Compliance to align operational capabilities with product roadmaps, regulatory requirements, and customer experience goals, ensuring a secure, scalable, and customer-first trading environment.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in high-volume, real-time brokerage operations within a fast-growing fintech environment, building scalable processes and tooling that enhance efficiency, reduce error rates, and support OnePay’s mission to democratize access to financial services.
- • You will grow as a hands-on leader and systems thinker, gaining ownership over end-to-end brokerage operations while influencing product design, compliance strategy, and technical infrastructure through your operational insights and bias for action in ambiguous, high-stakes scenarios.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7–10+ years of brokerage or trading operations experience, preferably in fintech or broker-dealer environments
- • Active FINRA licenses: Series 7, 63, and 24 (required)
- • Proven experience as a supervisory principal with direct ownership of brokerage operations and incident management
- • Deep knowledge of trade lifecycle (execution → settlement → reconciliation), corporate actions, ACATS transfers, money movement, and SEC/FINRA regulations
- • Experience operating in a follow-the-sun or global operations model with shared ownership across regions
- • Strong systems thinking and track record of building scalable processes, tooling, and error management frameworks
- • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Customer Operations teams
- • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a bias for action, ownership, and operational excellence
