- • The Builder in Residence for Ghost is a growth-focused role centered on building and community engagement, where you will be Ghost’s most prolific public user and voice, demonstrating its capabilities through hands-on development and storytelling.
- • Day to day, you will ship reference implementations (like agent memory systems and forkable preview databases), maintain integrations with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.), create technical content (tutorials, blogs, videos), engage with the developer community via GitHub and Discord, and provide product feedback based on real-world usage.
- • You will work closely with Ghost Engineering, Product, Marketing, and the broader Developer Relations team at Tiger Data, a remote-first, globally distributed company known for its PostgreSQL platform powering real-time, intelligent applications at scale.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in the AI agent stack, refine your technical communication skills, influence product direction through authentic user feedback, and build a public portfolio of impactful, open-source-adjacent projects that showcase your ability to bridge engineering and advocacy.
🎯 Requirements
- • Demonstrated experience shipping public software through open source, side projects, or developer-facing work
- • Comfort with PostgreSQL, including understanding of indexes, transactions, and debugging slow queries
- • Hands-on experience with the modern agent stack (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, MCP, LLMs in the loop)
- • Strong technical writing across formats such as blogs, tutorials, READMEs, and longer-form content
- • Bias to ship over polish — ability to deliver working v1 solutions quickly and iterate based on feedback
