📋 Description

• • Be the analytical engine behind Apella’s mission to revolutionize surgical care. Every day you will turn raw OR data into life-saving insights for surgeons, nurses, and hospital administrators.
• • Own high-priority, ad-hoc customer data requests that land in your queue—think surgical scheduling bottlenecks, OR throughput trends, and workflow inefficiencies that cost hospitals millions. You will deliver answers in hours, not weeks.
• • Build end-to-end analytics workstreams: explore messy EHR and OR operational data, model it in dbt, and push production-grade tables that power both internal dashboards and customer-facing reports.
• • Design and maintain self-service dashboards for our Customer Success and Sales teams so they can track real-time customer performance, adoption metrics, and clinical outcomes without waiting for you.
• • Spot patterns across recurring customer questions, then automate them. Your reusable SQL snippets and dbt macros will cut response time from days to minutes and free the team to focus on deeper strategic work.
• • Translate data patterns into structured product feedback. When you see the same workflow pain point in five hospitals, you will write crisp user stories and partner with Product & Engineering to turn them into roadmap features.
• • Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. One morning you might walk a CNO through an OR utilization heat-map; that afternoon you will brief engineers on the data anomalies you uncovered.
• • Maintain a living portfolio of strategic analyses—quarterly business reviews, ROI case studies, predictive models—that inform executive decisions and shape the future of Apella’s platform.
• • Collaborate daily with Customer Success to prioritize requests, with Engineering to ensure data integrity, and with Commercial leadership to align insights with revenue goals.
• • Champion data governance and documentation. Your dbt docs and code comments become the reference standard for anyone querying surgical data at Apella.
• • Stay curious about the clinical context. You will occasionally shadow OR teams (virtually or on-site) to understand the real-world workflows behind the numbers.
• • Thrive in a remote-first, fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly, but the mission—better surgical outcomes—never wavers.
