📋 Description
- • Prepares business cases in collaboration with university partners to support technology-driven change initiatives.
- • Collaborates with Project Managers to define approaches for requirements elicitation, documentation, management, and communication.
- • Articulates business opportunities, objectives, and success criteria to align technology solutions with institutional goals.
- • Conducts current state and root cause analyses to identify business needs and systemic issues.
- • Applies modeling techniques—including scope, process, rules, data, and interface models—to analyze and document requirements.
- • Supports requirements validation across scope, user acceptance, implementation, and deployment phases; assists in defining success metrics.
- • Performs feasibility analyses for proposed projects to assess technical and operational viability.
- • Coordinates planning activities to meet project timelines and forecasts required time and resource allocation.
- • Implements strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing system and data requirements from diverse stakeholders.
- • Conducts requirements elicitation using standardized techniques and methodologies.
- • Documents requirements, establishes scope and objectives, and determines evaluation strategies to ensure business goals are met.
- • Organizes requirements by release and category, and establishes traceability matrices to map relationships and dependencies.
- • Translates complex technical requirements into clear, simplified language for both business and technical audiences.
- • Performs gap analysis in partnership with technical teams to identify discrepancies between current and desired states.
- • Prioritizes requirements in collaboration with university partners and develops conceptual prototypes or mock-ups to visualize solutions.
- • Applies business process modeling, traceability, and quality management techniques in accordance with established methodologies.
- • Manages requirements communication and employs best practices to foster collaboration and resolve issues effectively.
- • Works with Project Management to obtain formal approvals for requirements and facilitates go/no-go decision-making.
- • Validates requirements throughout the project lifecycle according to defined plans and standards.
- • Uses documented requirements to support the design and review of test cases and process change requests.
- • Provides consulting to stakeholders on requirements management practices in coordination with Project Management.
- • Independently prioritizes task completion and issue resolution to ensure adherence to project deliverables and timelines.
- • Supports large-scale projects and additional initiatives as assigned by management.
- • Monitors implemented technical solutions to ensure alignment with documented requirements and evaluates their long-term effectiveness.
- • Leads and coordinates activities related to requirements management tools and platforms.
- • Coordinates with other business analysts to ensure consistency and alignment across projects.
- • Participates in recommending and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for business analysis processes.
- • Develops metrics to measure requirements adoption and evaluates long-term solution performance.
- • Reviews and monitors business analysis effectiveness through test results and feedback loops.
- • Provides regular status reports to stakeholders and project teams.
- • Performs other duties as assigned to support Information Security initiatives and broader institutional technology goals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience substituting for minimum education
- • 4 years of experience analyzing business processes and data
- • Ability to perform requirements elicitation, documentation, and management using established methodologies
