- • Business Development Executive at Capital on Tap (operating under New Wave Capital Limited) plays a pivotal role in scaling the company’s mission to empower 1 million small businesses by 2030 through its all-in-one business credit card and spend management platform. This role directly contributes to revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and converting SMEs into long-term customers, making it essential to the company’s expansion in the UK and beyond.
- • Own the full 360‑sales cycle from sourcing SMEs to early account management, including prospecting, qualifying leads, presenting solutions, negotiating terms, and onboarding new clients to ensure smooth adoption of the Capital on Tap platform.
- • Represent our credit card and spend management solution by articulating its value proposition to business owners and decision-makers, focusing on how it saves time, reduces administrative burden, and improves cash flow for small businesses.
- • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by sourcing and qualifying new SME leads through targeted outreach, leveraging both inbound interest and proactive prospecting strategies to ensure consistent flow of opportunities.
- • Make 30–50 outbound calls daily to reach business owners and decision-makers, using a disciplined, high-volume approach to initiate conversations, uncover pain points, and position Capital on Tap as a trusted financial partner.
- • Hit quarterly targets by converting new customers and driving early product usage, with performance measured against clear KPIs tied to acquisition, activation, and early-stage account health.
- • Follow strong compliance standards and FCA regulations to protect customers, ensuring all sales activities adhere to financial conduct rules, data protection standards, and ethical selling practices.
- • Join a collaborative, high-energy sales team of 8–12 Business Development Managers based in London (with hybrid flexibility after 3-month training), reporting to a Sales Manager, where peer support, knowledge sharing, and collective goal achievement are deeply embedded in the culture.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven 360‑sales experience across prospecting and early account management, ideally in B2B, SaaS, or financial services environments.
- • Strong outbound B2B prospecting and lead‑generation skills, with demonstrated ability to build pipelines from cold outreach.
- • Experience with high-volume cold-calling and outreach, including comfort making 30–50 calls per day while maintaining quality and compliance.
- • High ownership, urgency, and accountability for targets, with a track record of self-directed goal setting and consistent performance against quotas.
- • Ability to set and manage your own daily activity goals, using data and prioritization to optimize time and effort.
