📋 Description
- • Manage, grow, and develop relationships with key distribution partners representing Stanley Black & Decker industrial brands including DEWALT, Stanley, Craftsman, Lenox, Proto, and Irwin.
- • Drive sales growth by identifying target opportunities, running product trials, and delivering cost savings analysis reports to demonstrate value versus price.
- • Execute national promotional programs and new product introductions at designated National Accounts, coordinating with independent distributors as applicable.
- • Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews with customers to ensure achievement of growth targets and POS sales goals.
- • Maintain full ownership of the sales cycle, including needs identification, solution presentation, execution, forecasting, and POS/scorecard analysis.
- • Manage discretionary budgets and administrative tasks such as expense reporting, travel logistics, sample management, and timely submission of territory reports.
- • Utilize CRM systems to document all account information, contact activity, call outcomes, and opportunity progression accurately and consistently.
- • Present value-based communication strategies to distributors and end-users to enhance product adoption and sales effectiveness.
- • Motivate and educate distributor sales teams through product training, technical service guidance, and educational safety seminars.
- • Coordinate relationship efforts between Industrial Account Managers, distribution partners, and end-users to align sales strategies and maximize market coverage.
- • Leverage national promotions, marketing materials, flyers, and events regionally to strengthen distributor engagement and brand presence.
- • Continuously analyze the competitive landscape to secure optimal channel positioning for Stanley Black & Decker industrial brands.
- • Recommend new product additions based on market insights and distributor feedback to expand portfolio relevance and sales potential.
- • Travel approximately 50-60% within the Midwest and East region to support distributor and customer needs, attend national distributor meetings, and participate in industry trade shows.
- • Take credit for value-added activities by documenting and communicating impact to distributors and end-users with supporting materials.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent trade experience in a shop environment
- • 2+ years of direct industrial sales experience strongly preferred
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- • Willingness and ability to travel 50-60% within the Midwest and East region
- • Technical and mechanical ability to work with tools and machines
- • Proficiency with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems preferred
