📋 Description

• Lead the end-to-end business development strategy for Monad Foundation’s Financial Institutions vertical, identifying and cultivating relationships with banks, exchanges, clearing houses, asset managers, and market infrastructure providers such as CME, ICE/NYSE, DTCC, and Nasdaq.
• Build and manage a structured pipeline of institutional prospects, tracking engagement across stages: awareness, evaluation, pilot, and committed, ensuring consistent progression and accountability.
• Develop deep, trust-based relationships with senior decision-makers responsible for blockchain strategy, digital assets, and infrastructure procurement within financial institutions.
• Cultivate internal champions within target institutions by recognizing and engaging multiple stakeholders involved in technology adoption decisions, moving beyond single-point relationships to build institutional coalitions.
• Design and execute an advisor and influencer strategy by identifying and partnering with consulting firms, industry intermediaries, and thought leaders who shape institutional perceptions of blockchain infrastructure selection.
• Maintain real-time visibility into which financial institutions are evaluating competing blockchain platforms, analyzing the underlying drivers of their decisions and positioning Monad as the superior technical and operational fit for specific institutional use cases.
• Establish and sustain Monad’s presence in key industry forums, working groups, and regulatory or standards-setting bodies where institutional blockchain strategy is formulated.
• Own the development and refinement of Monad’s institutional narrative — crafting a clear, technically credible, and compelling articulation of why Monad’s high-performance EVM Layer 1 is the optimal infrastructure for on-chain finance.
• Manage the operational cadence of institutional communications, including drafting ecosystem updates, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining a consistent, high-quality outreach rhythm with current and prospective institutional stakeholders.
• Monitor institutional sentiment across public and private channels to detect early shifts in perception, surfacing insights with context and recommended internal responses to preserve and enhance Monad’s reputation.
• Ensure operational rigor in institutional relationship management by tracking follow-ups, preventing stakeholder disengagement, and eliminating gaps in communication that could hinder momentum.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align institutional outreach with product, technical, and marketing teams, ensuring consistency in messaging and alignment with Monad’s technical roadmap.
• Synthesize feedback from institutional stakeholders into actionable intelligence that informs product prioritization, narrative adjustments, and partnership strategy.
• Represent Monad at industry events, panels, and private meetings with financial institutions, serving as the primary ambassador for the organization’s institutional proposition.
• Maintain a sharp understanding of token markets and institutional investor behavior, including what drives conviction or erosion of trust in digital asset infrastructure.
• Manage multiple concurrent workstreams with varying audiences and timelines while maintaining precision, clarity, and professionalism in all written and verbal communications.
• Proactively identify opportunities to expand Monad’s institutional footprint by anticipating shifts in financial regulation, technology adoption trends, and competitive moves within the blockchain infrastructure space.
• Ensure all institutional materials — from investor updates to technical white papers — are written with exceptional clarity, precision, and credibility, requiring minimal editorial intervention.

🎯 Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in financial institution partnerships, institutional business development, management consulting with a financial services focus, or crypto infrastructure where institutional blockchain adoption has been observed.
• Direct exposure to how large financial institutions evaluate, procure, and adopt new technology infrastructure, including understanding internal dynamics, stakeholder structures, and procurement timelines.
• Existing relationships within financial institutions, consulting firms, or the institutional crypto ecosystem that provide a running start in pipeline development.
• Exceptional written communication skills; ability to produce investor updates, institutional materials, and narrative documents that are clear, precise, and credible without requiring heavy editing.
• Familiarity with token markets and institutional investor behavior, including understanding what drives conviction or erodes trust in digital asset infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with different audiences and timelines while maintaining high-quality output across all deliverables.
