- • Business Development Manager at Capital on Tap, part of New Wave Capital Limited, plays a pivotal role in scaling the company’s mission to empower 1 million small businesses by 2030 through its all-in-one business credit card and spend management platform. This role directly contributes to revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and onboarding SMEs that benefit from the company’s financial tools, making it essential to the organization’s expansion and impact.
- • Own the full 360‑sales cycle from sourcing SMEs to early account management, ensuring end-to-end responsibility for customer acquisition and initial success.
- • Represent Capital on Tap’s credit card and spend management solutions by delivering tailored pitches and closing high‑impact deals with business owners and decision‑makers.
- • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by proactively sourcing, qualifying, and nurturing new SME leads through targeted outreach and research.
- • Execute a high-volume outbound strategy, making 30–50 calls daily to engage prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn, focusing on converting interest into qualified opportunities.
- • Drive quarterly performance by consistently meeting or exceeding targets through new customer acquisition and early product adoption, supported by data-driven follow‑up and engagement.
- • Uphold strict compliance with FCA regulations and internal policies, ensuring all sales activities are ethical, transparent, and customer‑centric.
- • Collaborate closely with a dynamic team of 8–12 Business Development Managers reporting to a Sales Manager, operating within a supportive, high‑energy culture that values initiative, speed, and teamwork across London, Brighton, Manchester, and remote hubs.

- • Accelerate career progression through clear pathways into senior sales, team leadership, or specialist roles, backed by regular feedback, coaching, and investment in personal development.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven 360‑sales experience across prospecting, lead generation, and early account management, preferably in B2B, SaaS, or financial services.
- • Strong outbound B2B prospecting and lead‑generation skills, with a track record of building pipelines from cold outreach.
- • Demonstrated experience with high‑volume cold‑calling and outreach, including the ability to make 30–50 daily calls while maintaining quality and compliance.
- • High ownership, urgency, and accountability for personal targets, with a self‑starter mindset and comfort operating under performance‑driven goals.
- • Ability to set, track, and manage daily activity goals (e.g., calls, emails, meetings) independently and adjust tactics based on results.
