  • • This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to work in close collaboration with our Founder and CEO, gradually assuming comprehensive responsibility for all facets of business development, including nurturing client relationships, identifying and pursuing new opportunities, and contributing to the strategic direction of the company.
  • • The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in driving our market presence, acting as a primary point of contact for potential and existing clients, and ensuring DuckWorks remains at the forefront of providing exceptional talent solutions to the millwork industry.
  • • This is a highly collaborative and relationship-driven position that demands a proactive approach, offering a high degree of autonomy, significant visibility within the organization, and substantial potential for long-term career growth as DuckWorks continues to scale.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a natural inclination for field-based work, derive satisfaction from building trust and rapport with clients, and demonstrate a keen interest in understanding, or a proven track record within, the millwork and manufacturing environment.
  • • As a fully remote position based in the U.S., this role provides the flexibility to work from anywhere within the country, while still maintaining close ties with the leadership team and contributing to national growth initiatives.
  • • You will report directly to the CEO, ensuring a clear line of communication and direct access to strategic decision-making processes.
  • • This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role where your contributions will be directly visible and critical to the company's success.
  • • Frequent travel is an essential component of this position, involving client visits, attendance at industry trade shows, and participation in relevant conferences and events to foster connections and identify new business prospects.
  • • You will be responsible for building and meticulously managing a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, from initial outreach to closing deals.
  • • This includes conducting in-depth discovery calls to understand client needs and presenting tailored solutions that align with DuckWorks' service offerings.
  • • A key focus will be identifying opportunities for both full-time drafting placements and project-based support, matching skilled professionals with the specific requirements of millwork and casework manufacturers.
  • • Regular travel across North America is expected to visit existing clients, cultivate relationships with prospects, and gain firsthand insight into their operational needs and challenges.
  • • You will serve as a key representative of DuckWorks at various trade shows, conferences, and industry events, actively engaging with potential clients and partners, and promoting our brand and services.
  • • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM records is crucial for tracking leads, managing follow-up plans, and analyzing sales performance.
  • • Close collaboration with the Operations team is essential to ensure a seamless transition from the sales process to project delivery, guaranteeing client satisfaction.
  • • A willingness and ability to learn DuckWorks' specific drafting and engineering workflows will be important for effectively communicating our capabilities to clients.
  • • You will also contribute to the ongoing refinement of our sales messaging and the development of our go-to-market strategy, providing valuable market insights and feedback.
