- • Are you a driven, results-oriented individual with a passion for building and a knack for connecting with senior leaders? Didero, Inc. is seeking founding Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to establish and scale our outbound sales engine. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing, venture-backed startup at the forefront of revolutionizing global trade through an autonomous supply chain. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and engaging potential clients, specifically targeting manufacturers and distributors, to generate qualified meetings for our Account Executive (AE) team.
- • As a founding BDR, you will be instrumental in shaping Didero's go-to-market strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to own the top-of-funnel activities, meticulously researching target accounts, developing and executing sophisticated outreach sequences via cold calling, email, and LinkedIn. The ultimate goal is to secure high-quality, multi-threaded meetings with key decision-makers in Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership. This is a 'builder' role, demanding a proactive, research-driven approach, creative messaging, and a relentless drive to win.
- • You will operate as a true strategic partner to our AE team. This involves collaborating closely to identify, prioritize, and penetrate high-value target accounts. Your ability to map complex buying groups, which may include stakeholders from Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance/AP, and IT/ERP, will be crucial. You'll need to skillfully multi-thread your outreach, engaging multiple individuals within an organization to secure meaningful next steps and advance the sales process.
- • A key aspect of this role is the ability to personalize your outreach at scale. You will craft sharp, persona-specific messaging that directly addresses the critical pain points faced by our target audience, such as labor inefficiencies, expedite costs, stockouts, and working capital optimization. Understanding the financial and operational impact of these challenges will enable you to articulate Didero's value proposition effectively.
- • We encourage a proactive and trigger-based prospecting approach. This means actively monitoring for key organizational changes and events such as ERP rollouts (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor), leadership transitions, company expansions, and mergers or acquisitions. These triggers provide timely opportunities to engage prospects with relevant solutions.
- • Seamlessly transitioning qualified leads to the AE team is paramount. You will be responsible for conducting thorough discovery calls and documenting concise, actionable notes. These notes will capture critical information including the prospect's pain points, current processes, key stakeholders, required capabilities, projected timelines, and the agreed-upon next steps. This meticulous documentation ensures a smooth and informed hand-off, empowering the AEs to build upon the initial engagement.
- • Continuous improvement and iteration are core to our success. You will be expected to relentlessly test and refine your outreach strategies. This includes A/B testing subject lines, call scripts, and opening lines, as well as sharing your learnings and insights with the team on a weekly basis. Your contributions will directly influence the optimization of our sales processes and messaging.
- • Success in this role hinges on a 'hunter' mentality combined with a strong 'team mindset.' You must be fearless and persistent on the phone, capable of booking executive-caliber meetings with operational leaders, not just IT personnel. Collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team are highly valued. You should be metrics-driven, constantly measuring your experiments, tracking conversion rates, and adapting your approach based on data.
- • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, and direct procurement is highly desirable, as it provides immediate context for the challenges our clients face. Exceptional written communication skills are essential, enabling you to craft concise, specific, and impactful messages that resonate with busy VPs of Procurement. Maintaining a disciplined sales process, ensuring every meeting has a clear next step, and keeping your CRM data pristine are fundamental to effective pipeline management.
- • We are looking for individuals who possess grit and coachability. You should actively seek feedback, demonstrate a willingness to apply it, and continuously strive for improvement. 🎯 Requirements
- • 1+ years in a full-time BDR/SDR or outbound sales role, specifically selling SaaS solutions to senior buyers in manufacturing or distribution industries.
- • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas, ideally achieving 120%+ of target.
- • Strong phone presence, excellent discovery call skills, and comfort discussing process and financial impact with senior stakeholders.
- • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft concise, persona-specific, and impactful messaging.
- • Disciplined approach to sales process management, including meticulous CRM hygiene and ensuring clear next steps for all engagements.
