- • Own the entire lifecycle of product features—from database schema to pixel-perfect UI—as the founding Full Stack Engineer in Revv’s first international engineering hub in São Paulo. You will architect and ship 70 % backend, 30 % frontend solutions that power AI-driven diagnostics for 2,100+ repair shops and counting.
- • Design, build, and harden Node.js/Express micro-services in TypeScript that ingest millions of vehicle data points per day. You’ll craft elegant PostgreSQL schemas, optimize complex queries, and tune indexes so that safety-critical insights reach technicians in milliseconds, not minutes.
- • Translate Figma wireframes into responsive React/Next.js components that feel native to mechanics wearing gloves and working under fluorescent light. Your UI decisions will directly increase daily ticket volume and reduce error rates in calibrating ADAS cameras, lidar, and radar systems.
- • Establish the São Paulo engineering playbook: coding standards, automated testing harnesses, CI/CD pipelines, and on-call rotations. Your early choices will echo across every new hire and every future deployment as Revv scales from seven-figure to eight-figure ARR.
- • Integrate with OEM APIs, parts suppliers, and insurance platforms to create a seamless data flow that turns fragmented repair orders into a unified, real-time view of vehicle health. You’ll negotiate rate limits, handle flaky third-party webhooks, and still deliver sub-second response times.
- • Collaborate daily with U.S.-based product managers, AI researchers, and customer success teams in English, while mentoring junior Brazilian engineers in Portuguese. Expect lively white-board sessions at 9 a.m. BRT that feed into pull-request reviews by 6 p.m. PST.
- • Champion a culture of ruthless prioritization and rapid iteration. Ship an MVP in week one, measure impact in week two, and refactor for scale in week three—then repeat. Your velocity will set the cadence for the entire office.
- • Instrument everything—latency, error budgets, feature adoption—so that data, not intuition, drives roadmap decisions. When a dashboard spikes at 3 a.m., you’ll be the calm engineer who traces the root cause, patches it, and writes the post-mortem before breakfast.
- • Influence the product vision beyond code: join customer site visits to body shops, listen to technicians explain ultrasonic sensor recalibration, and return with actionable insights that shape the next sprint.
- • Lay the groundwork for future teams—define service boundaries, document architectural decisions in ADRs, and create onboarding checklists that reduce ramp-up time from weeks to days. Your legacy will be the team that outlives any single feature.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years shipping production-grade software, with a demonstrable 70 % backend / 30 % frontend split
- • Expert-level Node.js and TypeScript; advanced PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, query optimization)
- • Proven track record of end-to-end ownership—from database migrations to responsive React/Next.js UI
- • Fluent English (written & spoken) for daily collaboration with U.S. teams
- • Nice-to-have: React/Next.js depth, integration test frameworks, prior mentorship or startup scale-up experience
