- • As a Business Development Representative at Hive Technologies Inc., you will play a critical role in fueling the company’s growth by generating qualified sales opportunities for Account Executives through high-volume, AI-powered outbound prospecting in the live events and entertainment industry. Your work directly contributes to helping event marketers grow audiences, drive revenue, and create unforgettable experiences for fans.
- • You will execute daily outbound prospecting across phone, email, LinkedIn, and emerging channels, consistently meeting and exceeding activity targets to generate new qualified meetings while building targeted prospect lists and identifying high-potential accounts within Hive’s live events ecosystem.
- • You will leverage AI-driven tools to research prospects, personalize messaging, and optimize outreach sequences, continuously experimenting with new tools, workflows, and automation to increase efficiency and response rates, and bringing innovative ideas to improve the team’s outbound motion.
- • You will engage prospects in thoughtful conversations to understand their marketing stack and challenges, identify opportunities where Hive’s platform can deliver measurable impact, and schedule high-quality discovery meetings for Account Executives by qualifying and converting interest into sales opportunities.
- • You will operate with full ownership and autonomy, managing your own pipeline generation strategy and activity rhythm, tracking outreach and performance metrics with discipline in CRM, and taking full accountability for results while continuously refining your approach based on data and feedback.
- • You will collaborate closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Leadership to refine messaging and targeting, share frontline learnings to improve outbound strategies and playbooks, and contribute to building a world-class, scalable outbound motion that supports Hive’s go-to-market engine.
- • You will thrive in a remote-first, high-trust culture that values clarity, ownership, and real customer impact, working alongside a distributed team across Canada and the U.S. that is passionate about empowering event marketers with cutting-edge technology.
- • You will develop expertise in modern B2B sales techniques, AI-assisted outreach, CRM management, and sales analytics, while building resilience, communication skills, and a growth mindset that positions you for long-term success in sales, business development, or go-to-market roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven ability to thrive in high-volume outbound sales environments with a track record of meeting or exceeding activity and meeting generation targets.
- • Strong proficiency with sales engagement platforms, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and AI-powered outreach tools for personalization and automation.
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly, articulate value clearly, and engage busy decision-makers across phone, email, and social channels.
- • Self-starter mindset: intrinsically motivated, resilient in the face of rejection, and capable of managing your own pipeline and schedule with minimal supervision.
- • Familiarity with the live events, entertainment, or marketing technology industry is a plus, but not required — curiosity and eagerness to learn are essential.
- • Located in Canada with legal work authorization; candidates based in Quebec are not eligible for this role at this time.

- • Competitive compensation package: $60,000 annual base salary plus $25,000 in variable pay, offering an on-target earning potential of $85,000 with uncapped upside based on performance.
