  • • Own the end-to-end success of PeopleGrove Tech Private Limited as its senior-most India leader, acting as the face of the company to employees, partners, regulators, and the broader tech ecosystem in Mumbai and beyond.
  • • Build, inspire, and retain a world-class, cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, customer-success specialists, and operations professionals while embedding PeopleGrove’s core values of equity, curiosity, and impact into every daily interaction.
  • • Serve as the primary liaison between the India office and US-based leadership, translating global strategy into locally executable plans and ensuring that feedback, risks, and opportunities flow seamlessly in both directions across time zones.
  • • Ensure 100 % compliance with Indian corporate, labor, tax, and data-privacy regulations by owning relationships with external legal counsel, company secretaries, auditors, and statutory bodies; personally review all RoC filings, GST returns, PF/ESI submissions, and secretarial records for accuracy and timeliness.
  • • Partner with the global CFO and local Chartered Accountant to craft and own the annual India budget, quarterly re-forecasts, cash-flow projections, and cost-center reporting; monitor burn against plan and proactively flag variances to keep the entity financially healthy.
  • • Design and implement scalable HR policies that satisfy both global standards (equity, inclusion, performance management) and local statutory requirements (Shops & Establishment Act, POSH, gratuity, leave rules); personally handle escalated employee-relations matters and champion a culture of psychological safety.
  • • Continuously refine internal processes—recruiting, onboarding, vendor management, procurement, travel, and IT support—so that the India hub can triple in headcount without adding proportional overhead or friction.
  • • Drive operational excellence initiatives such as OKR roll-outs, quarterly business reviews, and KPI dashboards that give every team member clear line-of-sight to how their work advances PeopleGrove’s mission of closing the opportunity gap.
  • • Represent PeopleGrove at industry forums, government roundtables, and university partnerships, positioning the company as a thought leader in equitable career access and building a talent pipeline that strengthens our employer brand.
  • • Identify and mitigate geopolitical, regulatory, and business-continuity risks; maintain a living risk register and lead semi-annual scenario-planning exercises with executive sponsors in the US.
  • • Oversee vendor selection and contract negotiation for critical services (cloud hosting, benefits brokers, payroll providers, office leases), ensuring cost efficiency, SLA adherence, and data-security compliance.
  • • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion by setting measurable goals for gender representation, accessibility accommodations, and community outreach; publish an annual India DEI report that is celebrated internally and externally.
  • • Mentor and coach next-level leaders through structured development plans, skip-level 1:1s, and quarterly leadership off-sites that cultivate succession depth for every critical function.
