- • The Business Operations Manager/Sr Manager plays a significant role in building the functions to unlock growth and help Whatnot scale, working directly with leadership to lead large, critical initiatives and solve complicated, unstructured problems.
- • Day to day, the role involves taking Whatnot global by partnering with Product and Engineering to ensure international needs are built into scalable solutions, conducting primary research on product, pricing, and incentives, and owning key metrics like buyer and seller funnels, growth, marketing investments, and margin dynamics; scaling the marketing engine by bringing business-side rigor to capital deployment, measurement, and prioritization; building a healthy, durable business by leading analyses on margin levers and growth investments, informing pricing decisions, and translating findings into recommendations; building tooling for a single source of truth to track progress against goals, highlight key metrics, resource allocation, and blockers; and pressure-testing new products and capabilities to improve buyer and seller experience while owning resolution of high-impact issues end-to-end.
- • Whatnot is the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe, building live commerce at unprecedented scale in the West, with a remote co-located team anchored in hubs across the US, UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, and Australia, moving fast, staying close to users, and focusing on high-impact work.
- • The person can learn about the business while contributing to high-impact initiatives, gain exposure to cross-functional leadership, develop expertise in global market scaling, marketing strategy, financial analysis, and operational tooling, and grow their ability to drive change in a fast-moving, unstructured environment.
