  • • The Business Transformation Manager at Velera plays a pivotal role in driving organizational effectiveness by leading strategic initiatives that align with growth objectives and improve operational performance across the enterprise. This role is critical to ensuring that Velera remains agile, innovative, and responsive to the evolving needs of its 4,000+ financial institution partners in a rapidly changing financial services landscape.
  • • The person will work closely with Growth leadership and cross-functional teams to identify underperforming business areas, assess current processes and systems, and lead transformation efforts that enhance sales, retention, and cross-sell outcomes through data-driven decision-making and sustainable change.
  • • Day to day, the Business Transformation Manager will: lead strategic and cross-functional initiatives from deal support to team building; assess existing processes, systems, and organizational structures to uncover inefficiencies; collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, map workflows, and document business needs; conduct data analysis to inform decisions and measure initiative impact; develop and present business cases, project plans, and implementation roadmaps; support execution of strategic projects by tracking milestones, timelines, and outcomes; monitor performance metrics and report on the effectiveness of changes; identify risks, issues, and dependencies and recommend resolutions; stay current on industry best practices, market trends, and emerging technologies; create and maintain a repository for process documentation and best practices; oversee enterprise improvement initiatives tied to key revenue opportunities; proactively identify and solve complex problems affecting business management and relationships; serve as a thought partner on cross-functional management teams to foster enterprise excellence; identify and mitigate sales and retention risks through effective controls; and perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

  • • In this role, the individual will develop deep expertise in business transformation, process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile), and enterprise change management within a complex financial services environment. They will strengthen their ability to influence senior leaders, translate data into actionable strategy, and deliver measurable business outcomes—positioning themselves for advancement into senior leadership roles in strategy, operations, or transformation.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • • Seven (7)+ years of experience within a financial institution or similarly complex organization, with exposure to operations, sales, marketing, sales operations, platform, or member services.
  • • Demonstrated experience leading business transformation, process improvement, or enterprise change initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • • Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred), Agile, or comparable process improvement frameworks.
  • • Proven ability to partner with cross-functional and senior leaders to analyze business problems, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to executive-level audiences.
