Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • At DraftKings, Artificial Intelligence is not just a buzzword; it's a fundamental driver shaping our present and future operations. AI is actively transforming how we work, empowering smarter decision-making, and fostering bold innovation across the company. Our teams are at the forefront of embracing emerging technologies, actively building the future rather than passively waiting for it. If you are passionate about AI as a catalyst for progress and eager to contribute to a forward-thinking environment, this is your opportunity to join us in shaping what's next.
  • As a Senior Associate, Regulation, you will be instrumental in upholding the integrity and fairness of our prediction markets. This role sits at the critical nexus of regulatory compliance, market surveillance, and operational excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure our exchange operates with the highest standards of fairness and transparency, adapting and scaling effectively within a dynamic and evolving regulatory landscape. You will be deeply involved in conducting thorough trade practice oversight, engaging directly with regulatory bodies, and fortifying the control frameworks that protect both our valued customers and the business itself. Your contributions will be vital in reinforcing the trust and confidence in a cutting-edge marketplace where innovation and integrity advance hand-in-hand.
  • Your daily responsibilities will encompass conducting comprehensive trade practice surveillance to identify and address any potential irregularities. You will also play a key role in the onboarding process for new customers, ensuring that compliance is embedded from the very beginning of their engagement with our platform.
  • A significant aspect of your role will involve the meticulous preparation, drafting, and timely submission of accurate regulatory filings to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This includes proactively identifying, thoroughly investigating, and appropriately escalating any potential trade practice violations, all in strict adherence to established regulatory requirements and internal company procedures.
  • You will foster and maintain robust, collaborative partnerships with the broader Regulation team, contributing significantly to ongoing investigations, regulatory reporting initiatives, and all facets of trade practice oversight. This cross-functional collaboration is essential for maintaining a cohesive and compliant operational environment.
  • Building and nurturing effective, professional working relationships with regulatory authorities is paramount. Your efforts in this area will directly support our continuous compliance with the rules and regulations set forth by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, ensuring our operations remain in good standing.
  • You will act as the primary point of contact and liaison between the Exchange and our third-party service providers. This involves working closely with them to implement, refine, and enhance our market surveillance systems, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and aligned with our compliance objectives.
  • To guarantee continuous and effective market monitoring and to enable timely risk mitigation, you will provide rotational coverage during market operating hours. This ensures that our oversight is consistent and responsive, regardless of the time of day.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of regulatory innovation in the burgeoning prediction market space, contributing to the development of best practices and robust compliance frameworks.
