- • This position requires working among the Drafting Team to create and maintain construction documents used for the process of bidding, permitting, and construction of our Homes and Welcome Home Centers.
- • The position will report to the VP of Operations and collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing, Engineering, and other members of the Drafting Team.
- • The position requires an ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, ability to cope under pressure, maintain good judgment, eager to learn, and have a professional, supportive attitude.
- • Responsibilities include completing detailed construction document sets in AutoCAD, providing elevations and built-in details for Model Homes, assisting with conceptual design, material selections, furniture specification, graphics, coordinating projects with consultants, engineers, and field associates, attending Model Home frame walks and installations, and staying abreast of current building codes and ADA requirements, design trends, and practices.
- • The position requires a strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, willingness to learn additional program add-ons for AutoCAD, knowledge of current Building and ADA codes, initiative, and a highly motivated attitude.
- • The position also requires strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude, regular attendance and punctuality, strong work ethic, good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to cope well under pressure and accept constructive feedback.
- • The position may require occasional operation of construction equipment and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- • The position requires regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours.
- • The position may require moderate regional travel, including overnight trips and flights.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3-5 years of Residential Drafting experience preferred.
- • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- • Willingness to learn additional program add-ons for AutoCAD.
- • Knowledge of current Building and ADA codes preferred.
- • Must possess initiative and be highly motivated.
- • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
- • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule.
- • Strong work ethic, good communication and interpersonal skills.
- • Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback.
