- • Serve as the sole point of accountability for driving sales performance and successfully launching Cytokinetics’ first commercial product — a novel cardiac myosin inhibitor for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) — within your assigned U.S. territory.
- • Develop and execute territory-specific account plans that identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities by coordinating with an integrated local field team including medical, payer, and patient navigation/support colleagues.
- • Act as a subject matter expert to healthcare professionals (HCPs), delivering clinically relevant information on HCM and the product to create demand and support patient access.
- • Communicate approved resources to HCPs, including marketing materials, payer coverage information, formulary status, patient support services, and educational programs to facilitate adoption and adherence.
- • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts such as Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), hospitals, cardiology clinics, and specialty pharmacies.
- • Demonstrate expertise in evaluating territory market trends and applying strategic planning to exceed sales objectives and meet patient needs.
- • Navigate complex sales environments by identifying influential stakeholders and aligning solutions to address the needs of patients, caregivers, and providers.
- • Maintain clinical acumen with a deep passion for understanding and championing the needs of customers and their patients.
- • Comply with all credentialing requirements to gain access to academic institutions, medical facilities, and healthcare organizations within your territory.
- • Travel overnight 25% to 75% based on business needs and geographic distribution to engage with customers and support product launch activities.
- • Operate a company vehicle with an acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree required
- • 5+ years of experience in biotech/pharma sales required
- • Experience as a sales representative with sole ownership of a territory highly preferred
- • Cardiology, rare disease, or specialty product experience preferred
- • Specialty product launch experience preferred
- • Experience with patient service hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution preferred
