📋 Description
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare professionals in the Bowling Green, KY territory, including cardiologists, primary care physicians, and other providers.
- • Develop and execute a territory-level business plan aligned with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and certifications for Merck’s cardiovascular portfolio and related therapeutic areas.
- • Conduct compliant, balanced sales discussions with healthcare providers that align customer needs with approved product labeling and clinical evidence.
- • Engage with diverse healthcare settings such as physicians’ offices, integrated delivery systems, pharmacies, and hospital clinics to deliver patient-focused solutions.
- • Monitor and analyze business performance against objectives using company-approved tools to drive strategic planning and sales impact.
- • Provide regular updates to management on customer needs, marketplace dynamics, competitive activity, and progress toward quality goals.
- • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare customers by understanding and addressing their clinical and operational needs.
- • Leverage digital platforms and technology to engage healthcare professionals and expand sales reach and effectiveness.
- • Utilize sales metrics, forecasting, and pipeline management tools to optimize territory performance and achieve sales targets.
- • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
- • Operate independently with excellent organizational and time management skills while collaborating effectively with Account Executives, Integrated Delivery Systems leaders, and field colleagues.
- • Maintain a valid driver’s license and be prepared for up to 25% overnight travel to support customer meetings and ensure comprehensive territory coverage.
- • Reside within 25 miles of the Bowling Green, KY workload center or within 75 miles for non-metro areas; relocation at candidate’s expense is required if outside these distances.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with 0–3 years of relevant experience (S1 level) or 3+ years of sales experience or 6+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or medical devices (S2 level)
- • Valid driver’s license
- • Ability to reside within 25 miles of Bowling Green, KY (or 75 miles for non-metro areas) or willingness to relocate at own expense
- • Proven track record of success in sales, customer relationship management, or healthcare-related roles with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- • Comfortable using digital tools, CRM platforms, and analytics systems to support sales activities
- • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, develop strategic sales plans, and adapt to changing market conditions
