- • The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cash Posting Specialist to join their remote team, supporting their Home Health & Hospice agencies. This pivotal role is instrumental in ensuring the financial health of the organization by leading best practices in cash collections and reconciliation for the assigned cluster of agencies.
- • As a Cash Posting Specialist, you will be a key collaborator with Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders, actively participating in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of world-class operational standards. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that cash is accurately applied, discrepancies are swiftly resolved, and financial reporting is precise and timely.
- • You will also partner closely with other billers, Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders, and Service Center AR Resources within the Home Health & Hospice Segment. This collaborative approach fosters a shared ownership model, guaranteeing a high-performing Accounts Receivable (AR) function across the entire organization.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves creating accountability for collection efforts and procedures. You will work with Executive Directors and Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders to uphold and improve these processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in cash handling.
- • The Cash Posting Specialist will provide essential coverage for cash posting duties during short-term or unexpected absences, ensuring continuity of operations and uninterrupted financial processing.
- • You will play a vital role in training Cash Posters, partnering with cluster Executive Directors and/or Revenue Cycle Portfolio Leaders to impart knowledge and best practices, thereby enhancing the skills and performance of the team.
- • Establishing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with Portfolio Billers and Collectors is paramount. This ensures seamless communication and efficient problem-solving within the revenue cycle team.
- • A deep understanding of payor contracts is required. You will maintain comprehensive knowledge of these agreements and ensure that collections align strictly with contract provisions, safeguarding the financial interests of the agencies.
- • Similarly, a thorough grasp of government billing regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid, is essential. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource for agency personnel, providing guidance and ensuring compliance.
- • You will actively partner with cluster Executive Directors, AR Market Leaders, and Billers/Billing Managers on payor projects, ensuring these initiatives are addressed promptly and effectively.
- • Attending Agency BAM (Business, Administration, and Management) meetings is a key responsibility, where you will identify and report on collections received, contributing valuable financial insights to strategic discussions.
- • Your daily tasks will involve reviewing, researching, and accurately posting various types of funds. This requires meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to financial data entry.
- • Preparing comprehensive cash reports and performing daily reconciliations are critical functions to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- • Resolving discrepancies by coordinating effectively with internal teams is a core responsibility, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- • You will be responsible for researching and clearing all unidentified cash accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring that all financial transactions are accounted for.
- • Managing automated payment files and handling any exceptions that arise is also part of the daily workflow, requiring adaptability and technical proficiency.
