📋 Description
- • The Senior Advisor, Health Tax Policy and Implementation provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership for Resolve to Save Lives’ global health taxes portfolio, focusing on tobacco, alcohol, and unhealthy food taxes to reduce consumption of harmful products and raise revenue for public health.
- • Day to day, the role involves providing technical direction and quality assurance for health tax initiatives, advising on tax design and implementation (including excise structures, rate setting, and enforcement), overseeing economic modeling and analysis, representing RTSL externally with governments and donors, managing consultants, and supporting country expansion efforts such as scoping and launching new engagements.
- • Resolve to Save Lives is a global health organization that partners locally and globally to scale solutions to the world’s deadliest health threats, having worked in over 60 countries since 2017 to save millions of lives by closing the gap between proven interventions and those who need them.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in health tax policy and administration, strengthen implementation in priority countries like Zambia, influence global best practices, build strategic partnerships, and contribute to thought leadership that withstands industry pressure while advancing public health goals.
