📋 Description

• Coordinate and support product development and assortment activities for the Produce and Floral category team, ensuring alignment with category strategy to drive traffic, sales, and margin
• Execute purchase activities and opportunities in accordance with approved product plans and strategic guidelines
• Provide accurate and timely communication to all support teams regarding product information, enabling stores to make informed purchasing and quantification decisions
• Support the completion and production of SKU and assortment-related data in alignment with the Buying or Planogram Calendar to minimize operational disruptions
• Assist in the planning and execution of strategic marketing activities for all commodities to ensure marketing objectives are accurately met
• Maintain adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all category-related activities
• Utilize retail mathematics to analyze sales, profitability, and inventory metrics to inform decision-making
• Manage time-sensitive tasks with strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and operational timelines
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging and execution across store support teams
• Apply intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage data, track performance, and generate reports
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey category updates and requirements
• Maintain a passion for retail products and a deep understanding of the Giant Tiger customer experience
• Support ongoing category optimization through problem-solving and timely adjustments to simple operational issues
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and customer value in the Fresh category

🎯 Requirements

• Business, Management, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of related experience in retail category management (grocery retail preferred)
• Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Understanding of retail mathematics related to sales, profitability, and inventory
• Great communicator, verbally and in writing
