📋 Description
- • The CDI Specialist – Bench / Float Pool Team role at Ensemble Health Partners LLC is a flexible, remote nationwide position that supports clinical documentation integrity during transitions, new integrations, staffing gaps, and special projects, ensuring accurate physician documentation to support proper severity of illness, risk of mortality, and reimbursement.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include completing initial and ongoing medical record reviews within 24–48 hours of admission, assigning principal diagnoses and CC/MCC codes, evaluating SOI and ROM, querying physicians for missing or unclear documentation, educating healthcare providers on documentation guidelines, collaborating with coding teams on DRG accuracy, preparing payor appeals, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of five years of acute care nursing experience with specific background in medical/surgical, Intensive Care, or Emergency Department settings
- • Current RN licensure required
- • CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire
- • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with demonstrated proficiency in physician relations
- • Ability to organize and present information clearly and concisely, with strong computer, keyboarding, and prioritization skills
- • Inquisitive mindset with openness to innovation, including AI, to improve processes and patient/client experiences
