📋 Description
- • The CDI Specialist – Float Pool Team role at Ensemble Health Partners LLC is a remote, nationwide position focused on ensuring accurate and complete clinical documentation to support proper reimbursement, quality reporting, and patient care integrity. This role is critical to maintaining hospital financial health and compliance by bridging clinical documentation with coding and revenue cycle outcomes.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include completing initial and ongoing medical record reviews within 24–48 hours of admission, assigning principal diagnoses and CC/MCCs, evaluating Severity of Illness and Risk of Mortality, querying physicians for clarification, educating healthcare providers on documentation standards, collaborating with coding teams, preparing appeal documentation for payor denials, and supporting quality assurance and special projects as part of the Float Pool Team’s flexible response to staffing gaps, new integrations, and audits.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of five years acute care nursing experience with specific medical/surgical, Intensive Care, or Emergency Department experience
- • Current RN Licensure
- • CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire
- • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with demonstrated proficiency in physician relations
- • Ability to organize and present information clearly and concisely; strong computer and keyboarding skills; high degree of prioritization
- • Inquisitive mindset with openness to innovation, including AI, to improve processes and patient/client experiences
