- • Provide exceptional customer service in a phone-based pharmacy environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and healthcare facilities to support medication needs.
- • Enter and process high volumes of prescription data with speed and accuracy using multiple pharmacy software systems.
- • Utilize drug knowledge to obtain prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers via outbound calls to prescribers and patients.
- • Perform claim adjudication duties including prior authorizations, billing verification, and eligibility checks to ensure timely patient access to medications.
- • Resolve patient care issues by working through active case queues and coordinating solutions with clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals.
- • Serve as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and external healthcare providers on behalf of patients to optimize care coordination.
- • Onboard new patients by placing welcome calls, establishing trusted points of contact, and ensuring seamless transition into ExactCare’s pharmacy services.
- • Conduct outbound calls to patients to create, update, or verify their medication profiles and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality and accuracy in all patient records, adhering to state and federal regulatory standards.
- • Verify prescription information by directly contacting prescribers and documenting all communications with precision.
- • Act as backup support during periods of high patient call volume to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- • Assist patients with medication-related questions over the phone, providing clear, compassionate, and informed responses.
- • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment supporting ExactCare’s nationwide patient base of over 100,000 individuals.

- • Perform other duties as assigned, including participation in departmental meetings, training, or special projects as needed.
🎯 Requirements
- • Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) with current, active certification
- • Current pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy
- • High school diploma or GED
- • Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting
- • Must be 18 years of age or older
- • Comfortable working in a phone-based environment with strong verbal communication skills
