📋 Description

• The Chemistry AI Training Expert role is critical to advancing the capabilities of frontier AI models by creating high-quality, deterministic chemistry problems that serve as rigorous benchmarks for reasoning, domain knowledge, and computational accuracy. These tasks directly influence how AI systems learn and are evaluated in scientific domains, making this role pivotal in shaping the next generation of AI-driven scientific discovery.
• This position offers a unique opportunity to apply deep chemistry expertise in an innovative AI context, where your problem designs will be used to test and improve the reasoning abilities of state-of-the-art language models in STEM fields.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include designing advanced, original chemistry problems that mirror real-world scientific workflows, ensuring each task has exactly one verifiable correct answer and is grounded in computational rigor.
• You will develop reasoning-intensive tasks that require multi-step chemical reasoning, numerical modeling, and domain-specific knowledge, drawing from areas such as physical chemistry, computational chemistry, analytical chemistry, and chemical engineering-adjacent processes.
• Using Python and relevant scientific libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, RDKit, or simulation packages), you will implement and validate computational components of problems to ensure reproducibility and technical precision.
• You will author clear, rigorous technical explanations and full solution walkthroughs in English, documenting assumptions, methodologies, and verification steps to support AI training and evaluation pipelines.
• Collaboration with the AI training team will involve iterative refinement of problems based on feedback, ensuring alignment with evaluation goals and difficulty targets for frontier models.
• You will maintain strict standards of accuracy, originality, and clarity, avoiding reliance on rote memorization and instead emphasizing problem-solving, interpretation, and application of chemical principles.
• The role is based at Anyone AI Inc., a specialized provider of high-quality STEM training data for leading AI laboratories, where your contributions directly support the development of safer, more capable AI systems through robust evaluation.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
• Demonstrated research or industry experience in computational or quantitative chemistry workflows
• Strong proficiency in Python, including use of scientific libraries for numerical or chemical computations
• Ability to design original, difficult chemistry problems that require deep reasoning and go beyond textbook recall
• Excellent attention to detail and proven skill in clear, rigorous technical writing in English
