Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Design advanced, deterministic chemistry problems with exactly one verifiable correct answer for training and evaluating frontier AI models.
- • Create reasoning-intensive tasks grounded in real scientific workflows across computational chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, and chemical engineering-adjacent domains.
- • Develop technically precise problems that require deep domain knowledge, numerical reasoning, and computational rigor beyond textbook recall.
- • Use Python and domain-specific chemistry tools or simulation packages to build reproducible, computationally grounded tasks.
- • Ensure all problems include fully verified solutions, step-by-step reasoning, and clear documentation for AI training pipelines.
- • Write concise, rigorous technical explanations in English that accurately convey chemical concepts and solution methodologies.
- • Collaborate with AI training teams to align problem complexity with model evaluation needs and performance benchmarks.
- • Maintain strict adherence to scientific accuracy and reproducibility standards in all task designs.
- • Adapt problem difficulty to challenge state-of-the-art AI systems without introducing ambiguity or multiple valid answers.
- • Apply expertise in chemical modeling, numerical methods, and quantitative analysis to construct novel evaluation benchmarks.
- • Document all tools, parameters, and assumptions used in problem generation to enable auditability and replication.
- • Work within a remote, asynchronous team environment to deliver high-quality content on a strict 2-month contract timeline.
- • Potentially extend engagement beyond initial project duration based on performance and ongoing AI training needs.
- • Contribute to building a curated dataset of high-fidelity chemistry tasks used by leading AI research laboratories.
