Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Design advanced, deterministic chemistry problems with exactly one verifiable correct answer for training and evaluating frontier AI models.
- • Create reasoning-intensive tasks grounded in real scientific workflows across computational chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, and chemical engineering-adjacent domains.
- • Develop problems that require deep domain knowledge, numerical computation, and precise application of chemical principles beyond textbook recall.
- • Use Python and domain-specific chemistry tools or simulation packages to build reproducible, computationally rigorous tasks.
- • Ensure all problems include fully verified solutions, step-by-step reasoning, and clear technical documentation in English.
- • Write concise, accurate, and rigorous technical explanations that enable AI systems to learn and evaluate complex chemical reasoning.
- • Collaborate with AI training teams to align problem design with evaluation benchmarks used by leading AI labs.
- • Maintain strict technical precision in all outputs, ensuring no ambiguity in problem statements, constraints, or expected answers.
- • Structure tasks to challenge AI systems with multi-step reasoning, quantitative analysis, and simulation-based outcomes.
- • Apply expertise in chemical modeling, numerical methods, and computational approaches to generate novel evaluation content.
- • Document all problem creation processes, including software dependencies, input parameters, and validation criteria for reproducibility.
- • Deliver high-quality, error-free content on a consistent schedule within a 20-hour weekly commitment.
- • Adapt problem complexity to target the limits of current AI capabilities in chemistry reasoning and computational prediction.
- • Ensure all content is original, non-plagiarized, and reflects authentic scientific practice rather than simplified educational exercises.
- • Participate in feedback loops to refine problem quality based on AI model performance and evaluation outcomes.
- • Maintain confidentiality and intellectual property standards for all materials created for use in proprietary AI training workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD in Chemistry or a related field
- • Research or industry experience involving computational or quantitative chemistry workflows
- • Strong Python skills; familiarity with scientific libraries
- • Strong understanding of modeling, numerical approaches, and chemical reasoning
- • Ability to design original, difficult problems that go beyond textbook recall
- • Excellent attention to detail and clear technical writing
🏖️ Benefits
- • Compensation up to 40 USD / hr
- • Contract / Part-time role with 20 hours per week commitment
- • Project duration of 2 months with potential extension
- • Immediate start available
- • Fully remote work arrangement
- • Opportunity to contribute to frontier AI training at leading AI labs
