📋 Description

• Design advanced, deterministic chemistry problems with exactly one verifiable correct answer for training and evaluating frontier AI models.
• Create reasoning-intensive tasks grounded in real scientific workflows across computational chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, and chemical engineering-adjacent domains.
• Develop problems that require deep domain knowledge, computational rigor, and precise application of chemical principles beyond textbook recall.
• Use Python and domain-specific chemistry tools or simulation packages to build reproducible, computationally grounded tasks.
• Ensure all problems are technically precise, fully documented, and include verified solutions with step-by-step reasoning.
• Write clear, concise, and rigorous technical explanations in English to accompany each problem and solution.
• Collaborate with AI training teams to align problem complexity and structure with model evaluation needs.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and reproducibility in all deliverables to support AI model training at leading AI labs.
• Adapt problem designs based on feedback from evaluation workflows to improve model performance and task reliability.
• Work independently within a 20-hour-per-week contract schedule to meet project milestones and deliverables.
• Contribute to the creation of evaluation datasets used by top-tier AI research laboratories to benchmark chemical reasoning capabilities.
• Document all tools, parameters, and assumptions used in problem generation to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
• Apply expertise in chemical modeling, numerical methods, and quantitative analysis to construct challenges that test AI systems’ ability to simulate real-world chemistry.
• Avoid ambiguous or open-ended prompts; every problem must have a single, computationally derivable correct answer.
• Leverage specialized chemistry software or simulation environments where appropriate to enhance problem authenticity and complexity.
• Maintain strict adherence to scientific accuracy and avoid oversimplification of chemical concepts in task design.
• Deliver all content in English with professional technical clarity and consistent formatting.
• Be available for immediate start and commit to a two-month project duration with potential for extension based on performance and need.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD in Chemistry or a related field
• Research or industry experience involving computational or quantitative chemistry workflows
• Strong Python skills; familiarity with scientific libraries
• Strong understanding of modeling, numerical approaches, and chemical reasoning
• Ability to design original, difficult problems that go beyond textbook recall
• Excellent attention to detail and clear technical writing
