- • Teach Chemistry courses remotely as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), supporting adult learners in achieving academic and professional success.
- • Engage students through frequent interaction, collaborative problem- and project-based learning, and timely, constructive feedback using rubrics to assess performance and acknowledge accomplishments.
- • Contribute to curricular improvement by providing feedback to program chairs based on classroom experience and student needs.
- • Join a mission-driven institution committed to serving 90,000 students worldwide, including 55,000 military-affiliated learners annually, with a focus on flexibility, accessibility, and student-centered education.
- • Develop expertise in online higher education pedagogy while applying current chemistry knowledge to help students connect concepts across their academic programs and prepare for professional advancement.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field from an accredited institution.
- • Professional experience in Chemistry or a related field.
- • Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
- • Ability to teach remotely and complete UMGC’s required two-week online new faculty orientation (FacDev 411).
- • Submission of resume/CV and cover letter; international degree holders may need to provide NACES-approved translation/evaluation.
