- • As a Chevrolet District Sales Manager for District 1181 in Des Moines, IA, you will serve as the vital link between General Motors and its Chevrolet dealerships, driving sales performance, brand alignment, and customer satisfaction through direct engagement and strategic support. This role is critical to ensuring dealers are equipped, motivated, and informed to succeed in a competitive automotive market.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include acting as a liaison between GM, dealerships, and GM partners; growing and fostering dealer partnerships; facilitating mentorship and consulting to help dealers meet monthly and yearly sales objectives; tracking Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and other feedback to identify and address deficiencies or opportunities; assisting in product launches to ensure coordinated marketing and advertising efforts; monitoring dealership personnel training for compliance with GM requirements; assisting with inventory management including vehicle and parts ordering and stabilization; analyzing dealer sales, local market trends, and competition to uncover revenue opportunities; increasing sales of GM vehicles and accessory parts; assisting in customer problem resolution; and traveling extensively within your designated region to engage with dealers on-site.
- • You will join a dedicated team of field professionals at General Motors who are passionate about advancing the company’s vision of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, and Zero Congestion. The team operates with a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, supporting dealers as trusted advisors to drive mutual success and long-term loyalty.
- • In this role, you will develop advanced skills in relationship management, data-driven decision-making, automotive market analysis, and strategic consulting. You will gain deep expertise in GM’s product portfolio, dealer operations, and sales enablement strategies, positioning yourself for future growth within GM’s sales, marketing, or field leadership tracks.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in the automotive industry in lieu of a degree
- • 4+ years of experience in sales and customer service
- • Ability to travel 100% and be mobile now and in the future, with willingness to relocate anywhere within the United States
- • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review
