- • As a Solutions Engineer for Global Payroll at Deel, you will play a pivotal role in bridging technical expertise with sales strategy to help global enterprises adopt Deel’s unified payroll and HR platform, directly contributing to the company’s mission of unlocking global opportunity by ensuring compliant, scalable, and seamless payroll experiences for workers across 150+ countries.
- • You will partner closely with Global Payroll Account Executives to guide prospective clients through complex sales cycles, translating intricate payroll challenges into tailored, compliant solutions that demonstrate Deel’s platform value—turning technical discovery into closed-won deals and setting the foundation for successful implementation.
- • Day to day, you will: conduct discovery workshops with multinational prospects to map their current payroll landscapes and pain points; design and deliver compelling, customized platform demonstrations highlighting Deel’s Global Payroll capabilities; lead RFP responses by architecting technically sound, scalable solutions aligned with client needs; collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to advocate for feature enhancements based on field feedback; maintain deep expertise in global payroll legislation, compliance trends, and HCM/ERP integrations (especially Workday and SuccessFactors); support integration workshops and technical validation sessions to ensure smooth handoff to implementation teams; and contribute to marketing and partnership initiatives by providing technical insights for content, webinars, and joint go-to-market efforts.
- • You will join a high-impact, globally distributed team of over 7,000 Deelers spanning 100+ countries and 74 languages, operating within a fast-moving, innovative SaaS environment that has achieved $1.3B ARR and a $17.3B valuation in under five years—where your work directly influences how enterprises manage payroll compliance, reduce operational friction, and scale globally with confidence.
- • In this role, you will develop advanced expertise in global payroll technology stacks, enterprise sales engineering, and cross-functional stakeholder influence—positioning yourself as a trusted advisor in HCM transformation while gaining exposure to cutting-edge AI-driven payroll infrastructure and international compliance frameworks that are highly transferable across global tech, finance, and HR leadership paths.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Consultant, or in a similar technical sales role within HCM, payroll, or enterprise software.
- • Proven experience working for a Global Payroll, HCM, or ERP provider, with hands-on familiarity of platforms such as Workday, SuccessFactors, SAP, Oracle, or ADP.
- • Strong understanding of global payroll compliance, including multi-country payroll processing, tax regulations, statutory benefits, and data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), with ability to translate legal requirements into technical solutions.
- • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; fluency in English is required, and Dutch is a strong plus.
- • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, with entrepreneurial mindset, self-direction, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
- • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for client workshops, internal alignment, or industry events within the EMEA region.
