📋 Description
- • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Coins.ph’s enterprise-wide compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), and financial crime prevention programs across all product lines including e-wallet services, domestic and cross-border payments, remittances, and virtual asset transactions.
- • Serve as the primary liaison between Coins.ph and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), other Philippine regulatory authorities, and international financial regulators to ensure full adherence to licensing requirements and evolving regulatory expectations.
- • Oversee compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and audit readiness for all BSP-regulated activities as an Electronic Money Issuer (EMI) and licensed Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP).
- • Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and controls aligned with Philippine AML/CFT regulations, FATF recommendations, and global financial crime standards applicable to digital payments and crypto-assets.
- • Build and lead a high-performing compliance team responsible for transaction monitoring, customer due diligence, suspicious activity reporting, and sanctions screening across millions of user accounts.
- • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Operations teams to embed compliance by design into new product launches, feature enhancements, and international expansion initiatives.
- • Conduct regular training and awareness programs for employees across departments to foster a culture of compliance and regulatory accountability.
- • Manage regulatory examinations, inspections, and enforcement actions, ensuring timely and accurate responses to regulatory inquiries and requests for information.
- • Monitor global regulatory trends in fintech, digital assets, and payments to proactively adapt Coins.ph’s compliance framework to emerging risks and legislative changes.
- • Report directly to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on compliance posture, material risks, and regulatory developments impacting business strategy and growth.
- • Ensure all compliance activities are documented, auditable, and aligned with internal governance frameworks and external regulatory expectations.
- • Drive the adoption of technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in compliance operations, including automated transaction monitoring, KYC/AML tools, and reporting systems.
- • Act as the company’s designated compliance officer for all BSP-mandated reporting obligations and regulatory filings.
- • Maintain strong relationships with industry peers, legal counsel, and external compliance consultants to benchmark best practices and stay ahead of regulatory developments.
- • Balance regulatory rigor with business agility to enable responsible innovation while minimizing exposure to financial crime and reputational risk.
