- • As Chief Compliance Officer for Aspora's Lithuanian EMI licence, you will own the full compliance mandate and serve as the primary face to the Bank of Lithuania, ensuring regulatory adherence is embedded in product development and business expansion.
- • You will lead supervisory engagements with the Bank of Lithuania, build and maintain internal compliance frameworks, conduct risk-based reviews, advise leadership on new products and partnerships, and foster a compliance culture through training and incident investigation.
- • Aspora is a borderless financial operating system backed by top-tier investors including Sequoia Capital and Y Combinator, with a global team of 150+ across India, the UK, UAE, EU, and the US, committed to extreme ownership and customer impact.
- • In this role, you will define Aspora’s compliance infrastructure from the ground up, work directly with the CEO and Board, and shape the company’s regulated European expansion while gaining deep influence over strategic product and market decisions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Significant compliance experience at an EMI, payment institution, bank, or regulated fintech, ideally with direct exposure to the Bank of Lithuania or another EU competent authority
- • Deep working knowledge of EMD2, PSD2, Lithuanian Law on Electronic Money and EMIs, AML/CTF, sanctions, and EBA guidelines on outsourcing
- • Proven experience owning regulator relationships, including examinations, supervisory correspondence, and information requests under your name
- • Ability to operate at both strategic board-level and hands-on control testing without losing effectiveness
- • Fluency in Lithuanian and English required; CAMS or ICA certification is a strong advantage
