📋 Description

• As Chief Data Officer at Trustly Group AB, you will serve as the most senior data executive reporting directly to the Global CTO, responsible for the strategy, architecture, and execution of the company’s global data program, turning data into product, revenue, and risk advantage.
• You will own the data platform that underpins Trustly’s products and operations, the datasets that drive business decisions, the analytics capabilities serving internal and external stakeholders, and the machine learning and AI initiatives defining Trustly’s competitive edge.
• You will partner with the CTO, CPO, CFO, and business leaders across the company to set the vision for data as a first-class asset while building and leading engineering, science, and analytics teams to deliver on that vision at scale.
• You will operate at the intersection of high-scale engineering and deep financial intelligence, processing millions of transactions in real time to turn complex Open Banking signals into seamless payment experiences, fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity, technical excellence, and extreme ownership.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior data leader (e.g., VP of Data, Head of Data, or similar) with a track record of building and scaling data platforms, analytics, and ML/AI initiatives in high-growth, technology-driven environments.
• Deep expertise in data architecture, engineering, governance, and strategy, with hands-on experience in modern data stacks, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and real-time processing systems.
• Strong background in financial services, payments, or fintech, with understanding of Open Banking, transaction data, and regulatory considerations (e.g., GDPR, PSD2).
• Demonstrated ability to partner with C-suite executives (CTO, CFO, CPO) and translate data strategy into business outcomes, including product innovation, revenue growth, and risk mitigation.
• Experience leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Specialists, and Analysts, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence.
