- • As Chief Medical Officer for Louisiana Healthcare Connections, a subsidiary of Centene Corporation, you will provide medical oversight, expertise, and leadership to ensure the delivery of cost-effective, quality healthcare services to 28 million members across Centene’s health plans.
- • Day to day, you will serve as a clinical advisor and educator to medical management staff, ensuring correct clinical judgment in medical management determinations; develop, implement, and interpret medical review and quality-related policies; oversee staff and provider training and education; promote positive relations with the local medical community through consultation; review case management data to identify trends and gaps in care and recommend corrective actions; monitor quality of care issues and oversee improvement processes; track performance indicators to ensure cost-effective care within quality standards; monitor member and provider satisfaction and implement improvements; collaborate on developing corporate clinical care standards and medical practice policies; and provide medical guidance to the Medical Management department.

- • In this role, you will achieve significant impact by shaping clinical standards that improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations, gain executive leadership experience within a major national healthcare organization, deepen expertise in Medicaid managed care and quality accreditation systems, and lead initiatives that enhance both clinical effectiveness and member/provider satisfaction while advancing health equity across diverse communities.
🎯 Requirements
- • MD or DO without restrictions
- • Board Certified Physician
- • Louisiana license
- • Louisiana resident
- • 7+ years clinical experience in the practice of medicine
- • Medicaid experience highly preferred
