- • Manager, Medical Communications and Content Solutions at Pfizer Inc. is responsible for creating and executing global medical content end-to-end within a specific therapeutic area (Internal Medicine/Specialty Care), including abstracts, manuscripts, congress posters/presentations, graphical abstracts, systematic literature reviews, plain language summaries, slide decks, medical education resources, social media, infographics, video, multi-media and other types of external-facing medical content.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing medical affairs content, researching and organizing technical/medical information, collaborating with cross-functional partners (medical communications, scientific publication committees, congress teams, digital channel teams, Gen AI groups), providing solutions to authors, ensuring accuracy and data quality control, delivering projects on time with compliance, supporting training material development, training on tools and processes (including generative AI), tracking project progress, resolving issues with Team Lead guidance, staying abreast of evolving trends in medical content generation, and training/expertise development in industry-leading tools for knowledge transfer.
- • The role sits within the Global Medical Communications and Content Solutions (MCCS) team in the Global & US Medical Communications and Content (MCC) Organization at Pfizer, a global biopharmaceutical leader committed to breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.
- • The person in this role will develop expertise in medical content creation across formats, gain experience with generative AI in medical affairs, strengthen stakeholder management and project leadership skills, deepen therapeutic area knowledge (Internal Medicine/Specialty Care), and contribute to compliant, impactful medical communications that support scientific dissemination and patient education.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced scientific doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MBBS/MD, MSc, MPH, MPharm)
- • Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing/developing medical content for the pharmaceutical industry, academic settings, CRO, or biotech company
- • Excellent scientific writing skills, including ability to interpret and summarize complicated data effectively, concisely, and persuasively
- • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and credibility with authors and external stakeholders cross-culturally/regionally
- • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and pay strong attention to detail
- • Effective English verbal and written communication with flexibility to be clear, consistent, compliant, and appropriate for various settings
- • Understanding of statistical principles used in medical research and familiarity with epidemiologic principles
- • Experience with software commonly used to present and analyze data (e.g., WORD, PowerPoint, Excel)
